Sensex today propelled by oil and gas stocks

The BSE Sensex was up 60.61 points to 9,296. The market turned positive after showing weakness in opening trade. Asian markets were trading lower today, as a record crash in Japanese production and lower profit forecasts fueled anxiety among investors.
Companies like Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries, Bharti Airtel fell by between 0.25% to 1.28%. While, Jaiprakash Associates, Ranbaxy Labs, Sterlite Industries, Reliance Communications rose by between 1.3% to 4.17%.
